Four members of the ILIAD group participated in a panel discussion at the International Conference on Information Literacy -Africa, which was held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt on Oct 14th to 17th. Clarence Maybee (Purdue University, USA) moderated the session, while Karen Kaufmann (University of South Florida, USA), Serap Kurbanoglu (Hacettepe University, Türkiye) and Matt Moyo (North West University, South Africa) each talked about the information literacy work they have done and how it contributes to the recognition of information literacy as a discipline.
